Mmmm cikulata cake!

Fontanella Tea Gardens situated on the edge of Mdina bastions sells what is widely believed to be THE best chocolate cake on the island. For the bargain price of 2.20 Euro you are presented with a generous slab-sided portion (to eat in or 2 Euro to take away). 

Highly recommended.

Enjoy it either in the cafe/tea gardens or if full (as is common in the summer and at weekends) sit on the bastions and enjoy the panoramic views...
